A striking ornamental standard tree boasting rich, deep burgundy-purple foliage that holds its colour beautifully throughout the season. In spring, delicate pale pink blossom emerges before the leaves, adding a romantic early-season display. A real statement piece for patio containers or formal garden settings, offering year-round interest with its bold, jewel-toned canopy.
Care
Thrives in full sun, which intensifies the purple foliage colour. Water regularly when establishing, then moderately once settled. Prune lightly after flowering in late spring to maintain the lollipop shape. Avoid waterlogged conditions. Feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring.
