A beloved evergreen shrub prized for its crisp, variegated foliage — deep green leaves neatly edged in bright yellow. Compact and well-behaved, it brings year-round structure and a bright, fresh quality to borders, containers, and garden edges. A reliable workhorse that earns its place through every season without demanding much in return.
Care
Thrives in full sun to full shade, making it one of the most adaptable shrubs available. Water regularly until established, then largely drought tolerant. Trim lightly in spring to maintain shape; no hard pruning needed. Tolerates exposed and coastal positions well.
