A stunning Mediterranean classic, trained here into an elegant standard form with a clear stem and a lush, dense canopy of narrow, lance-shaped evergreen leaves. Oleander brings a genuinely exotic, sun-drenched character to patios and terraces, and when in bloom it rewards with clusters of vivid flowers in shades from white through pink to deep red. It's the kind of plant that transports you to a Provençal courtyard the moment you step outside.
Care
Thrives in full sun and warm, sheltered positions. Water regularly during the growing season, allowing the compost to dry slightly between waterings; reduce watering significantly in winter. Best overwintered under glass or in a frost-free greenhouse in the UK. Prune after flowering to maintain shape. All parts are toxic — handle with gloves and keep away from children and pets.
