A classic evergreen trained into an elegant lollipop standard, Photinia 'Red Robin' is beloved for its spectacular flushes of vivid red new growth that emerge throughout the season. The glossy, deep green mature leaves provide year-round structure, while the bright scarlet tips add a theatrical burst of colour in spring and summer. Perfect for adding height and year-round interest to borders, patios, or flanking an entrance in a pot.
Care
Thrives in full sun to partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Water regularly when establishing, then moderately once settled. To encourage those vibrant red shoots, clip the standard head 2–3 times a year after each flush of new growth. Shelter from cold, drying winds. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring.
