A beautifully trained standard lollipop form of the ever-popular Photinia 'Red Robin', prized for its vivid scarlet new growth that crowns the neatly clipped ball head with a blaze of colour each spring. The glossy, dark evergreen foliage provides year-round structure and elegance, making it a favourite for framing doorways, patios, and formal garden settings. A real statement plant that combines sculptural form with seasonal drama — no two flushes of red are quite the same.
Care
Thrives in full sun to partial shade; best colour achieved in a sunny spot. Water regularly when newly planted and during dry spells, but ensure good drainage to avoid root rot. Clip the lollipop head once or twice a year (late spring and late summer) to maintain shape and encourage fresh red growth. Hardy and low-maintenance once established. Gravel mulch on the pot surface helps retain moisture.
