A garden classic that never fails to turn heads, Photinia 'Red Robin' puts on a dazzling show of vivid scarlet new growth that emerges in flushes throughout spring and summer. The glossy, deep green mature foliage provides year-round structure and privacy, while clusters of small white flowers appear in spring. Care
Thrives in full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil. Water regularly when newly planted, then moderately once established. Clip or prune after each flush of growth to encourage fresh red shoots — typically two to three times a year. Shelter from harsh cold winds in exposed sites. Feed in spring with a balanced slow-release fertiliser.
