A compact, bushy evergreen shrub with charming rounded leaves edged in creamy white against a deep green centre — a classic combination that lifts any border or container year-round. 'Emerald Gaiety' has a reliable, tidy upright habit when young, making it ideal for structure and contrast in mixed plantings. Garden lovers prize it for its unfussy nature and the way its variegated foliage takes on attractive pinkish tints in cooler winter months.
Care
Thrives in full sun to partial shade; tolerates a wide range of soils including chalk and clay, provided drainage is reasonable. Water regularly when newly planted, then drought-tolerant once established. Trim lightly in spring to maintain shape; no hard pruning required. Generally pest and disease resistant.
Hardiness: H5
